Everyone is vulnerable to injustices. It does not matter who you are

Everyone is vulnerable to injustices. It does not matter who you are or where you come from. Just like mental illness doesn't discriminate and impacts individuals from all walks from life.
I'm a humble person and just because I inform others of my background does not mean I'm narcissistic. I'm simply trying to give the example of how one can go from being stable and successful to being brought down to one's knees.
A little disappointed..

Hi Roxie:
I believe that it takes courage to talk about one's experience with mental illness, knowing that there are some that don't & don't want to understand. It is still good to talk about it with honesty. I found that when I 'fessed up, that their were so many people that admitted to having some experience either themselves or a relative or friend and were so happy to feel that they had discovered someone who could understand. The few that walked away from me, were not my favourite people to start with so that was no loss to me. You don't have to feel "narcisstic" talking about your feelings to me. I'm hear for you anytime. All the best to you.

Hi Xin,
It's so nice to hear from you. Thank you for your kind words. I was taken back by a private message because I was telling my story and the person wrote me about things that I wasn't even considering. It was offensive in a way and condescending but I took the higher road because I was not angry.
Like anyplace this site is not immune to misinterpretations and misunderstandings.
There comes a time when one just wants to be surrounded by people who uplift your spirit not further ad to stressors.
How have you been? I hope your ok....
