Gave Nooro a try - A WARNING

Posted by madmouse43 @madmouse43, Apr 9, 2024

From my time here on the Mayo Clinic Connect and my own experience I realize that there is no magic bullet for painful feet from PN Wether it be drugs, machines, home remedies or anything else. All of our attempts for relief have received personal unique results.
What helps one does not necessarily help all others or even any others. It is with that in mind that I am going to give the Nooro Foot Massager which I got on a 90 day no questions asked return policy.
I will be using setting 1 at a strength of 13 to see what happens (it seemed like the most appropriate setting) for 15 minutes 1x per day.
If anyone had any hints, suggestions or comments I would live to hear from you.

Nerve pain creams like those with capsaicin or lidocaine, compression socks, alpha Lipoic acid, Acetyl l carnitine and magnesium supplements, and Cymbalta/Duloxetine has helped me. It is important to get to the cause of neuropathy so you can stop the progression (like manage diabetes/sugar levels, eliminate alcohol, reduce/avoid toxins, ensure not deficient or at toxic levels for Vitamin B6 or B12, make sure not iron deficient, etc.).

Unfortunately, nerve damage is not always reversible and medication only helps relieve symptoms. If they don’t know how to cure nerve damage and only prevent or minimize it (in cases of diabetes, vitamin deficiency or toxicity), I’m not sure they really know how to manage symptoms without significant side effects from medications.

Nooro foot massager - A WARNING
I have posted several questions and comments concerning the Nooro foot massager and PN on this site, but this time I am posting about a negative experience that happened to me on November 8th. I could find no way of contacting the company about this and waited until now to give me a chance to see how bad this situation was.I had my Nooro foot massager lying out , for an extended period of time, with the control unit connected but not turned on. I went to grab the unit by the mat to use it and my right hand received a MAJOR jolt of static electricity. While the results of the jolt are ligament pain when I try to extend or stretch my arm and hand which mainly occurred in the Carpal Tunnel area of my right wrist, there has been no reduction of movement.I talked to a physician friend of mine who suggested we just wait for about 6-8 weeks to see what my body does to heal the issue. That is what I have done. If the problem persists, I should see a hand specialist. Have decided to forego that, as it has gotten better over time, but still have some minor ligament pain when I extend my right thumb.Basically I have decided to live with it but wanted to give others a headsup.

I ordered a Nooro 2 foot massager and received the old version, Nooro 1, which I already had. I was sent an e-mail that a rep would call me to discuss how to use the Nooro. I received her phone call and after trying to sell me vitamins and an oil to apply before using the Nooro I told her I wasn't interested and received the wrong unit. I was told the Nooro 2 was out of stock and one would be sent when available. Never received it and attempts to call them are useless. The AI Robot just keeps saying I received the order then hangs up. I give up on this company. And not sure if the product helps at all. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM. Impossible to call their customer service dept.

@jiffeeone, I have added your warning of buyer beware with Nooro and advertisements of solutions for neuropathy to the discussion @madmouse43 stated a while back and posting a similar warning

As the saying goes, if it sounds too good to be true, it likely is. Jiffeeone, thanks for reporting your experience.
