Evenity - Shots in Arm versus Belly? Any advice?

Posted by dmshope @dmshope, Apr 16 7:58am

I am about to begin Evenity treatment and have heard that the shots although usually adminstered in arms, can be given in the belly.
Does anyone have expereince they can share?
My arms are muscular and small and even a tetnus causes intermusucluar pain so I am wondering if the belly is better. If shots are given in belly , are they given on either side? Thank you advance.
Good health to you,

@dmshope I hope it all goes well tomorrow. The injections are subcutaneous and the whole process is very quick. Will you let me know what your experience is?

Good morning, My first Evenity shots were administered today in the belly - lower quadrant- with ease. I am so thank ful. These shots were so so much easier than the tymlos belly shots I took for 2 years! As advised I have slim tight muscular arms, so belly was my first choice. ALso prior tymlos use gave me a bit 'needed belly fat' to absorb some of the effects. My thoughts are postive and hopeful - healing is on the way. Thank you for your support and kindness.

THank you for your expereince and recommendation. I tried the belly location for the first treatment and will see how it goes. ( I used to have zero fat for 70 years and was trim...but tymlos has helped me to gain a bit.)

@dmshope Thank you for sharing. I hope that your other injections go as easily as the ones you received today. I also hope that Evenity works for you and you gain bone density. I'm feeling very positive and hopeful for you.

I tried both, and belly worked best for me. Not on my pant waist area though.

I just had a little soreness in my arms, and it was sore when I slept on my sides, which I do. I also have farm animals and have to lift heavy items. Belly had a bit of soreness, but it didn’t disrupt life at all, only if I wore pants that the waistband went over my injection site. Very slow injection was best.
