My third appointment ( first full dose, next two half dose) were completely without side effects. I wish I could go back for the other one!

Six months would be good. The last 6 months are more anti-resorptive. I have to ask my doc in a couple of weeks if I might as well do Reclast then or stay on Evenity.

Sclerostin has functions in a lot of places in the body. I do wonder if not enough is known yet, but everyone seems to do fine. I have done 5 years of cancer meds, two years of Tymlos and Reclast might mean a break for awhile between infusions!

@windyshores, I thought that you had trouble with Evenity at least the first time, so then half a dose? What do you want to go back for? Apparently, I am confused, but I am interested in how Evenity is working for you.

When will you get another dexa to see how the evinity is doing?

I think you'll do great on Evenity. Next month when you go in for your next dose, have them choose a different injection site, like the upped thigh or the stomach. Also, have them use two different sites, like one in right side of stomach and one in the left upper thigh. Attached is the Evenity insert that has injection instructions.

Thank you. I have already read all the info in preparation. The nurse suggested same arm and we will alternate to the other next time. I have mid body pain from the fracture and don’t want to encourage anymore in that area. I had no issues and think maybe the antihistamine helped with injection site problems.

@drsuefowler I did a half dose again a few days ago. I had zero side effects. I am wondering if my high inflammation markers after COVID were a factor in my reaction to the first shots, or if this is just another case of my body needing to get used to a med. I would not hesitate to get a full dose next time. But if it is mainly anti-resorptive at this point, I will also ask about going directly to Reclast.

I have already done 2 years of Tymlos. My original idea was to do just 4-6 months of Evenity for more of a boost. Interestingly, I read an article last week that said that in the future, people might use Evenity that way: for a short term boost in P1NP between other meds. It's so new, I think the protocol is pretty rigid but we'll see what happens in the next 10 years.

I see my endo this month and am going to ask about DEXA. I am also getting a CTX and P1NP again. CTX was very low last month. P1NP was disappointing, low too, but maybe it needs to be done two weeks after shot, not 4.
