Evaporative humidifier that is easy to clean
In searching for an evaporative humidifier for my daughter who doesn’t have NTMs but is immunocompromised, I am thinking that ease of cleaning is one of the most central factors. So do any of you have any suggestions for what to buy for her?

Oh sorry I did not notice that term. No I do not think it is evaporative but this is the type that is recommended to avoid contracting MAC from the steam. It uses boiled water which makes it safer in terms of bacteria etc. that might be in the steam. It has a self clean feature to keep even safer to use.

So does vaporizer boil the water? How do you like it so far?

Steam vaporizers are not the same as ultrasonic humidifiers which usually produce a cool mist.

Yes it boils the water but I have not tried it quite yet. Waiting for dryer settings in the house which should be soon!

Yes. He says if the steam comes from boiling water, then it’s safe.
That is great news! This may be the right choice then since it’s stainless steel. What category of humidifier is it? Everything I’ve seen says that there are just two types: ultrasonic and evaporative. Since this doesn’t use a wick it seems to be in a different category.
