Erleada and Lupron: Does this combo wipe anyone else out?
I am on Erleada 240 mgs per day and Lupron one injection every 6 weeks. Some days I am wiped out from the medication. Anyone else feel this way? ~Don

It is worth it, G9, advanced, high risk, diagnosed 3 years ago, had robotic surgery, PSA has been .01 for a couple of years, maybe more. ADT had an effect on my disease and my life but it was manageable, will probably be in my future too.
Hope it’s worth it, cuz it’s like Zombie city for me as another man has stated- 18 months into it.
I'm 56 years old. I've been on Eligard & Zytiga 19 for months. I'm there with you ready to quite. Heavy fatigue, weight gain, major cognitive issues and the newest is irritability.
@tonytone, it is so hard when the treatment intended to prolong life makes life suck! When treatment impacts your quality of life, there is a calculus that each patient makes with their team.
Have you discussed how this particular regimen is affecting you with your medical team? Let them know your reality, what is important to you, what options might be available and what are the pros and cons of continuing or stopping treatment.
I'm so sorry to hear that. I also started on ADT and ARSI at age 56 (I'm 59 now).
Is there any chance that a different combo might not hit you as hard? I'm tolerating Orgovyx and Erleada pretty well these days, but that's obviously a discussion to have with your care team, as Colleen suggests.
I was on lupron and Erleada for 13 months starting 3 years ago. The side effects were very poor sleep, tired all day, brain fog, depressed but it worked on the cancer ( G9 advanced). I get tested every 3 months and my doctor said that when my PSA goes up I may go back on these drugs. Staying alive is not a slam dunk Good luck to you
Early days for me. Initiated Eligard on 2024-04-28, subcutaneous injection giving 45mg/day and lasting 6 months. Added Erleada, 240mg/day, on 2024-06-04. For logistical reasons added Orgovyx on 2024-09-30. I presume the Eligard will be ramping down through the month of October. To date no significant impact on my Quality of Life but at 83 before PCa had already had already begun descent from cruising altitude of mental and physical fitness. As predicted, after two months on Erleada developed rash. Not pretty but does not itch. And, the reality is for the great majority of people for the great majority of their life they look better with clothes on than clothes off.
I enjoy ever day now than before PCa since mortality is not an abstract concept. I used to wear a T-
Shirt with the Latin phrase "Mors certa, hora incerta". The certa is now much more a reality.
May your COT, course of treatment, be optimal!
