eGFR dropped down to 79 then 75 to 68 and now 63 in 22 months

The reference range used by the lab is >90 being normal range. Prior to 2023 I was in the normal range, but have dropped about 20% since. No blood or protein in urine, normal creatinine and BUN, no diabetes or hypertension. Could the damage be from Covid I had in 2021 (Delta variant)? I can't figure this out.

You don’t mention your age but stage 3 is pretty common for those over 60. Your other numbers are good so just watch diet and drink lots of water. Not sure of any correlation between eGFR and Covid but certainly ask your PCP who can maybe give you a referral to a nephrologist. Good Luck!

I started keeping my lab reports in 2012. I am now 78. My eGFR has consistently hovered around 60 or a little below. All other kidney affected numbers in the middle of the range. I had one low eGFR --53-- spring of 2024. It was back to 59 in 6 months. My primary put diagnosis of stage 3 on my record. I found another primary who said no. He watches my numbers. I am sure now that I am well hydrated when I have blood work.
