Can long-term octreotide therapy lower gastrin serum levels?
Can long term otreotide lower your serum gastrin levels by lowering them and thus create a false negative. Or making your gastric levels just not high enough to mean carcinoid or ZES

I don’t think so have you been diagnosed with gastrinomas? I have Pnets and have been on Lanreotide for years and it only controls my symptoms I had gastrin from 800 to 2,000 until I had radiation to shrink the tumors now its down to 250. Gastrin will fluctuate with tumor growth. Can also vary with ppi usage however my specialist said it was negligible when compared to the levels I had.
