edema in pancreatic cancer

hello, my mother is pancreas CA. unfortunately, 4.at the stage. at this time, he has a very large swelling in his abdomen, there is a large degree of edema, he also suffers from constipation, can I get information about how those who solved this situation followed a path.

I am currently having similar symptoms. I’ve had surgery,chemo and radiation. I’m currently on a chemo holiday since my scans showed no spread. I had my stomach drained and decided have a special catheter put in so I can drain at home. I’m going to occupational PT with someone who specializes in edema. Let you know how it goes. I’m in the Chicago area.

My husband has found that Miralax every night is very helpful for constipation. Has been having it every night for 2 years. When very constipated, before this regimen, Phillips Milk of Magnesia got things going fast.

Yes, same as you - Miralax when constipated and Phillips rarely when I was on Fulfirnox, but now I’m on GAC and rarely constipated. I drink several glasses of water after chemo to flush out the toxins and have a very active lifestyle.
