What is usually prescribed is 5mg Cialis daily to improve blood flow. If that fails for sexual activity typically prescribed is Viagra on top of that to use just before sex. After that there are the injections (trimix), pumps, etc.

there can be a lot of reasons for ED. Some might have lurking in the background prior to treatments. It ended up being a 5 year journey for me. My wife was sick and I did not have a partner so at 68 figured I was done. I would suggest checking all your hormones and go through a workup. My testosterone was low . Trimix works for me and TRT gives me plenty of desire. But if all else fails an implant will work.

If the pills don’t work, you need to Use one of the alternate techniques.

You can get a penis pump, which can get you an erection and it has a ring you can put around the base of the penis that’s supposed to maintain the erection. It doesn’t work that well for relations, Not stiff enough for most people.

Once you have the erection you can use bimix or Trimix Injections into the penis to get an erection and keep it. It works really well for a lot of people. Easy to do and not painful.

Third option is you get an implant? That allows you to get an erection Whenever you want it by pressing a small bulb In the scrotum. 90% satisfaction from people that have had it done.

I am not a VET, but I was told by a GU nurse from a VA hospital that those with 100% service-connected disability were entitled to the pump; those with lower disability were eligible for an implantable rod. This was six years ago. Check the current guidelines if considering these paths.
