Ear infection No Pain Didn’t Even Know

I have a stupid question . Has anyone ever gotten an ear infection that had No Pain at all? My ear went clogged / Muffled on Feb 28 . Ringing in ear. I couldn’t see an ENT until 2 weeks later. So when I went to the ER the Dr. Told me I had an ear infection behind the ear drum. He also saw wax that was pressed up against my ear drum. Then another Dr asked me if I could possibly have Minearse Disease. I do have vertigo. I’ve had it for over 20 years with no ear issues . And with the Disease they said you have to have Vertigo 2 episodes that last 20 min or more. My vertigo will start and last 1 min if that. Then goes away for months or years. When I went to the ENT I was given a hearing exam . I passed and the pressure in both ears was good. They never once mentioned anything to me about Minearse Disease. The ENT looked in my ear and then down my throat. But never looked in my nose. My retired ENT looked in the ears , nose and throat. Also Dr didn’t make a big deal of any of my issues. Oh you must have liquid in your ear it will eventually drain? And that was it. To say I want t impressed . Tomorrow I’m going to another ENT. I’m a little nervous if he has to make an incision in my ear drum to drain the fluid. Has anyone else gotten this done? How did it go? I had a Perforated Ear drum in my early 20s. That cleared up with antibiotics nasal apart and regular Sudafed. This time around it’s not working. Anyone else?
