Ear (Concha) pain appeared overnight. Earphone related or infection?

Hi everyone
I woke up 2 days ago with quite severe Concha pain (when I touch my Concha & around it, if I pull on my lobe or if I lay on my ear - it's way too painful to lay on). The pain is mild if I'm not touching or putting pressure on it. My ear had been ever so slightly itchy the day before and today too but it was very mild, so I thought it was related to my throat being tickly due to seasonal allergies. No other symptoms.
I'm wondering if it could be earphone related as I fell asleep with earphones in and I'm a side-sleeper.
When should I be concerned or make an appointment with the doctors or will this heal on its own?
