Dupuytren's: Any possibilities after failed surgery?

Hello. I am posting this question on behalf of my husband. He had surgery on one finger of his right hand to correct the bending from Dupuytren's Contracture. He has it on both hands, but only one is "bad". The finger was straight for a day or two after the surgery and then it contracted again, though not as badly. I can tell it bothers him, but I guess he doesn't want to have another surgery and has lost hope I think. Has anyone had a successful treatment after a "failed" surgery? Thanks!

One of my fingers is curling inwards after an injury.
I have a wooden roller that I apply vigorously to the palm a couple of times a day to break down the scar tissue, should be more often but.... and I keep straightening the finger under hot water, and when I'm sitting reading of an evening I straighten it, and I wear a splint in bed to keep it straight.
It's two months since the injury and I expect to be doing this for several months more.
That said, it's just bent, not bent all the way to the palm as can be the case with Dupruyten's , but I think one has keep at it. Scar tissue builds 24/7.

@v8auto had surgery on right hand finger several yrs ago and seems to be ok.Had xiaflex on left hand pinky and didn’t last long at all. If I had to do pinky again would opt for surgery.
