Does the used Tymlos or Forteo pen go in the sharps container ?

I am still trying to find out what to do with my used Tymlos pen. I drove it to Walgreens this morning and was told they don’t take it despite what their website said. Yes I tried to call first but got no answer. Walgreens gave me a number o call, but it was for the DEA (!)
Chat GPT indicates I should put it in the sharps container. Great! Is this true? Is this what you all are doing ? This would be easy, as I already have a mail back program for the
sharps

Thanks. I don’t have those near me, but I am enrolled in the health dept mail back sharps program and have decided to put the pen in there .

I placed mine in the regular trash bin after I emptied the remaining contents of the pen. i think there were about 8 remaining doses that I would expell from the pen before discarding. The needles would go into the sharps container.

I got my sharps container at the fire station near my home, they will exchange it also when it’s full. I suggest ppl check with that, in Florida at least it’s a courtesy.
