I’ve been on ADT for 8 years. If I see an attractive woman I do get a good feeling, but my ability to get an erection is zero. Doesn’t permit me to do anything, even though I might be wanting to do something. Ahhhh. Memories!!!
What it comes down to is some people have different Side effects from ADT, Some people lose desire, completely and others do not.
I am 77 so age isn’t the issue.
Thanks, I hope desire comes back, but if I can't get an erection, maybe it's best not to have the desire.
My answer, it can.
My question is are you on ADT now or have you come off it?
If the former, I've seen literature that says around 20%of men on ADT do not lose their libido. The contrary to that is 80% do. I'm in the 20%.
If the latter then have you had your testosterone tested, if so, what are the results? Again, literature will indicate most, not all recover testosterone after coming off ADT, how fast and how much may be a function of which agent, his long on ADT, pre-treatment level....
Both times I was on ADT my testosterone recovered fairly "quickly." Why, who knows though exercise may have been a factor.
As to your comment about if no erection then why have libido...? There are a multitude of ways and means as part of Penile Rehabilitation Therapy (PRT) to regain sexual function ranging from the simple such as Visgra, Cialis, shots such as Trimix to penile implants.

Sexual relations are different with and after treatment for PCa, but not impossible. There are medical solutions and then there are what I call "style" changes which translate to foreplay....
Having a willing and understanding partner can help a lot too!

I am just 3.5 months out from my mid-April RP surgery. Even with the "neuromuscular bundle(s) preserved/intact" per my pathology and surgical reports, I have managed only one semi-erection, and "shocker of all shockers", I ejaculated URINE. Yet another thing my urologist did not warn me about. I quickly researched it, and it is exceedingly quite common. You orgasm, but no semen comes out of course, only urine. It was humiliating to say the least.
I am newly divorced and I am slowly coming to realize that I may never have pleasant intercourse with a woman again. There will be ways to please her, but there will be nothing that I will experience and enjoy as a post-RP patient. That is VERY hard to come to accept.
