Does Arizona Clinic offer the same treatments for stomach cancer?

Hello, I am trying to find the best treatment for my son. I saw Mayo clinic in Minnesota offers the best treatment for stomach cancers. The Arizona Clinic is closer to me. Do they offer the same treatment options?

@kristygonzales777, that is a great question. The short answer is, YES.

Mayo Clinic has been recognized as a top cancer hospital by U.S. News & World Report since it began publishing rankings in 1990. Most recently, Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and Mayo Clinic in Phoenix/Scottsdale, Arizona, have been recognized among the top Cancer hospitals in the nation for 2022-2023 by U.S. News & World Report.

Mayo Clinic doctors are respected for their expertise and experience in caring for people with stomach cancer. When you seek care at Mayo Clinic, you have access to a team of top-ranked doctors who are experts in gastroenterology, oncology and other specialties.

The best part is that collegues consult with each other across locations, especially when facing complex cases. This means that Mayo experts in Florida can draw upon the expertise of their colleagues in Arizona and Minnesota and vice versa.

It would be nicer for you to have care and treatment closer to home and to have the confidence that your son is getting the best care. To request an appointment, you can start here: http://mayocl.in/1mtmR63

May I ask, when was your son diagnosed with stomach cancer? Has he had any treatements?

I should have put the correct name of the type of cancer he is fighting. He is currently battling Mucinous Adenocarcinoma. Are there oncologist who specialize in this in the Scottsdale clinic? I am currently trying to transfer care to Mayo Clinic but need help finding Doctors who specialize in treating this after HIPAC surgery. He recently had surgery but they were unable to remove it all and now need to start chemo or alternate treatment.

He was just diagnosed February 18th, had surgery March 10th. Now recovering. I really want and need him to have specialized care and treatment as soon as he's fully recovered from this surgery.

@kristygonzales777, I'm glad to hear that he had hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) surgery. Mayo Clinic cancer teams specialize in complex cases and are familiar with mucinous adenocarcinoma. When contacting Mayo Clinic in Arizona, you can ask more about this specialization. They will match you with the most suited specialist.
