Does anyone know what this means.

This was at the bottom of the test results paper and I would like to know if someone could explain it to me

CASE COMMENTS: The specificity and positive predictive value of high risk HPV for CIN 2+ on biopsy varies according to different studies; in one study it is approximately 30-40%, depending on the population (Szarewski, et al, Cancer Epidemiological Biomarkers, Nov. 2008). Therefore, cytology may be negative in the setting of HPV infection. Follow up as per ASCCP guidelines.

What I do when i run into something like this, is i identify and underline the terms I don't know and don't understand. Then i look those up to see what they mean. sometimes they have multiple meanings and it's like a puzzle to put together which definitions apply. I take notes on what i learn as i go along, to look back on for reference, and write down some of my questions to be clear in my mind about what I still need to figure out.
