Does anyone have lichen planopilaris and how was it diagnosed?

Hi there-i just found out that what i though was Alopecia Areata may actually be lilchen planopilaris which i had never heard of until today. I practically had to force the surgical blade into the doctors hand to take the biopsy because he was so sure he knew what it was but guess again. Just want to know if anyone has this and what you are doing to get it under control and what othe types of autoimmune diseases you may have and just general stuff about an ailment i have no knowledge of.
