@stanstory these were links from the Stem Cell Therapy for Neuropathy discussion that may hold some promise but I don't know of any clinical trials that have been done specifically for stem cell injections other than for diabetic neuropathy. I'm sure there are a lot of small clinics doing their own thing and not approved by the FDA so you really have to do your own research.
I am so skeptical of all these treatments. None are covered by insurance and my neurologists only want me to follow treatments that have some real track record results. So many of us are vulnerable, looking for a cure. We can fall prey to treatments that in the long run, just make the doctors money.
Thank you to everyone who reported the scammer. The account has been deleted. I appreciate your help in keeping Mayo Clinic spam-free and safe for all.
@pfbacon@athenalee and others - Another member sent me a private message to alert me. I had already received 2 private messages from the scammer this morning and reported them to have them removed. As a rule of thumb, never respond to a request for your email address from a member you do not know, just delete the private message. If you ever want to dig into it you can do a Google search of the persons email address + scam or just by itself and it will usually let you know if the email is being used to send out scam or phishing emails. It is really important to protect and keep your personal information private.
Hi John, I'm getting suspicious email messages as mayo clinic topics but they request that I click on their link to send a private message and get important news from blank@mtellste ....do you think it's spam or malware? If anyone is using Mayo Clinic's help groups to do any such thing then they are pretty rotten. Peggy

I got one too. Don’t click on it, I looked up the email address. Definitely a scam. I reported it to Colleen. I couldn’t believe someone would do such a thing on Connect!

Hello, @ina3. I'd like to add my welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect.
You may have noticed that I moved your post here to this discussion, "Does anyone have a treatment for Neuropathy due to chemo," so you can connect with others who are talking about chemo-related neuropathy. Hoping they will have some insights from their experiences or those of loved ones especially about the numbness and heaviness your dad has in his feet, and that they can talk about testing they have undergone to determine exact cause or condition, preventative tips and any treatments.
Has your dad's oncologist weighed in on a potential connection between the chemotherapy and the symptoms in his feet? If so, what did he or she say?
@lisalucier thank you. No, the oncologist did not say much. She asked to see neulogy doctor . Neurology doctor asked us to do blood test on B12. He is going to see the doctor next week and we will know more.

My doctor has prescribed Gabapentin, 1200mg. twice a day. Not perfect, but it really helps.
