Does anyone find that a type of shoe helps your foot neuropathy?

Posted by lorirenee1 @lorirenee1, Mar 25, 2019

I am on a constant quest for shoes that don't kill my feet due to the neuropathy. I find that Spencos and Wolky shoes seem the best. Are there any other suggestions? Shoes can be just crippling for me. Horrid.

Thank you for the comments on Brooks. My physical therapist wears them and swears by them. I have been wearing Dansko, but will give Brooks a try. Thanks everyone!

I just ordered and received a pair of Ooofos shoes. They are hawked on TV by Alex Smith, former QG for the Redskins. He had 17 surgeries on his mangled ankle. I thought that if they helped him, why not me? Well, I wore them for a few hours yesterday and they were okay at first. Then my feet began to ache. So, I had to remove them. This morning I thought that maybe I'll try wearing them for an hour or so a day and work the time up. As soon as I out them on, my feet were screaming out in pain. Had to take them off and put my trusty, old Orthofeet on. Afraid that I will be returning these Oofos for a refund. Anyone else out there tried OOfos? If so, what was your experience?

Thanks, Chris Welch

In Australia, we have company call King Gee, they do workware. I brought a pair of shoes, they were runners. Best shoes, I owned, 6/7 pairs over years for work . But im not work but I still wear them for walking, keeps my feet safe and Inner gels ahhh. So comfy. Get pair laces or slip inside $100 but worth it.

MBT sandals! Open toe sandals for people who can’t wear thong sandals. For thong sandals, Aerothotic works for me.

OK, so I received my order of Oofos shoes. First, I am not a fan of slip-on shoes, which these were. I thought from the photo that they were lace up. After putting them on, I felt very unsteady. I wore them for a few hours. By that time my feet were killing me! I thought that maybe I should wear them for short periods of time, inceasing the time each day. The next morning I slipped them on. Immediately, as soon as I stood up, the burning pain returned to my feet. Removed them immediately. Requested a refund, boxed them up and sent them back.
Guess I'll stick with Orthofeet. They give me a fairly comfortable walk (with Dr. Scholl's inserts).

Planning on ordering another pair of Orthofeet. I'm sure that Oofos are great for many, just not for this old codger (76). At least they have a 30 day, no hassle return policy.

THE BEST SHOES FOR THAT IS TEVA RE-EMBER SLIP-ON
I HAVE 2 PAIR, ONE IN BROWN AND ONE IN GRAY. I GET MANY COMPLIMENTS ON THE STYLE. THEY ARE NOT INEXPENSIVE, $80.00. MY FEET ,TOES DO NOT HURT WHEN WALKING.
I HOPE THIS HELPS!!!

"As long as you don't wear them"... too hilarious for words. That should be a red flag. If you read my post about the Oofos shoes I bought, you'll see that the only way that I could tell how badly they felt on my feet was "TO WEAR THEM"! Not wearing an online-purchased shoe can only be evaluated is by wearing them. That policy is crazy.
