Does anyone find that a type of shoe helps your foot neuropathy?
I am on a constant quest for shoes that don't kill my feet due to the neuropathy. I find that Spencos and Wolky shoes seem the best. Are there any other suggestions? Shoes can be just crippling for me. Horrid.

I was the last in my family to get a pair of Hoka, Gaviota 5. They are ok. But my “go to” shoe has been for years are SAS (San Antonio Shoes). The Oxford. As a teacher I would get a new pair each year and I still stand by them. I have diabetic neuropathy with severe numbness.
Wow, captboat (@captboat) yet another suggestion for a shoe I'd never considered. Thank you! I'll look into these. –Ray (@ray666)

I like SAS too. I first bought them when I had plantar fasciitis. SAS is in my top three shoe brands. New Balance 990, Mephisto, SAS.
New Balance is my go-to shoe.
@ray666
How is your balance in your Hokas?
I don't care for mine, unstable.
Take care,
Jake
I had bad balance for several months once diagnosed. My doc recommended HOKA. They help with balance .
I also dont like textured flooring and these shoes helped with both. Took some time getting used to them but I dont go outta the house without them much
After seeing this discussion about the best shoes for neuropathy, It seems as if every possible shoe(or lack, thereof) has been discussed. Just go to this discussion before asking the question.
You're probably right, @heisenberg34, that every possible shoe has already been discussed. I've often thought that this topic's popularity and that it has receives new posts most every day is another indicator of how individual each of our PN needs are (to use a bad pun: "That no one shoe fits all"). For example: I have large-fiber PN, so no pain, but oodles of gait difficulties; also, I have severe flat feet, arthritic toes (they refuse to lie flat), bad arthritis in my left knee and left hip (my right knee is already a TKR). What I need in a shoe may bear no resemblance to what any one of my PN friends need. That said, I still follow this topic. I hadn't realized there were so many brands of shoes! When I was a teen, my choices in shoes were Keds, Keds, and … before I forget: Keds. 🙂
When I was a teen( late 50’s-early 60’s), Converse Chuck Tailor All Stars high top was the only shoe for serious ballers. We wore “weighted”Chuck Tailors for basketball practice. So we would “soar” during games. The low-cuts were for stylen’!
Ah, but you were an athlete, a real one! I was only a pretend athlete. That's why I was stuck wearing Keds Keds were for pretend athletes. 🙂
I was a good jock, basketball and football. But a lifeguard pulled me out of the pool when I was 17…there are two sides to every story! LOL
PS - I still sink like a rock.
Try cadence shoes, they are easy to get on & off .
