Does anyone experience rib pain with their osteoporosis

I have osteoporosis and i experience rib pain and sometimes popped cartlidge. I’m doing the evenity shots but this was going on before the shots. Does anyone else have rib pain with their osteoporosis?

Thats what she said it would show alot more.. and whats going on may have nothing to do with the shots. Like it could be a bulging disc or something like that…

They would the laser on my ribs for 5 minutes on each side. Its deep heat to help with healing.

Did you get the laser at physical therapy?

Yes i did but after 6 treatments i feel it only made a minimal difference.. not much .. i was hoping it would work better.. i was willing to try it.

@mathompson x-rays will diagnose fractures in my experience. Is there another reason to have an MRI? Can you ask your doctor if you can do an x-ray instead?

Osteoporosis doesn't cause pain. Since your pain is in the rib area, maybe an MRI is needed to evaluate other things going on besides fractures. It will certainly give thorough info including soft tissue as well as bone.

I have tinnitus and avoid MRI's and kidney issues which mean no contrast. But they are excellent tools.

I have osteoporosis and have had pain in my rib area. Have had X-rays and MRI and have still not determined the cause of the pain.

No. Only taking Alendronate for the osteoporosis.
