Distended lower abdomen following a colon resectioning surgery

I had a colon resection for perforation resulting from diverticulitis. I had a reversal nine months later. I had a distended lower abdomen following the first surgery and it has gotten larger following the reversal surgery. The reversal surgery was 9 weeks ago and the distended abdomen has increased slightly and is palpable. Will this resolve itself eventually ?

The reversal surgery was arthroscopic—- almost no incision scar.. The surgeon had very small hands lol I feel certain much of the swelling is related to hernias.
