This is a wonderful topic. I'm going to name two people as one is still living and the other is not.
Living person: Paul McCartney. I became a fan when the Beatles were on Ed Sullivan on February 9, 1964. I feel as if I grew up with the Beatles and now having seen the documentary "Get Back" and listening to interviews on the Beatles channel on satellite radio I would love to have Paul McCartney as a guest for dinner.
No longer living: My mother. She's been gone 25 years and I miss her every day.

Non-living- my mom, too. Tomorrow we do her internment. She passed in 2020 during COVID, she didn’t have it, but we couldn’t visit, couldn’t have a service/collation. We scheduled and re-scheduled twice, but the numbers went up. Numbers are up again, we gave up, felt too exhausted to plan a ZOOM service. Five of just family will gather at graveside. COVID has really upended all our lives, but what can you do? Life goes on.
If I could I would invite Lady Diana, she was such a wonderful person, the other would be my mom but she’s gone now it’s been almost 7 years and miss her everyday, love ya mom😘 I think Oprah would be an interesting person to have over for dinner I love Oprah.
Just like many people, I would love to be able to have one more dinner with my mom or dad or any of my grandparents. If I had to pick one, I think it might be impossible. Also, of people no longer dwelling among us my number one person to have dinner with would be Jesus.
If I had to choose a living person, I am not sure who I would pick. I think Jimmy Carter would be a wonderful person to have dinner with. My children and grandchildren are probably my top pick.
It’s tempting to say that I’d love to meet with any of my departed family members. But the thought of having to say good bye another ‘final’ time would be too sad.
Instead, I’d really love to have dinner with my stem cell donor. I’d like to find out what inspired him to become a donor to a perfect stranger. It’s been 3 years and he has chosen to remain anonymous, which I respect. But it would be a honor and pleasure to thank him in person! He quite literally saved my life. Without him, I wouldn’t be alive today to sit around any table, though maybe on someone’s mantle! 😉
I think someone who goes after what they want passionately such as Richard Branson or Lady Gaga would be fascinating. They both are so driven in their careers and live their vision no matter what other people say.
Without a doubt, it would be the Obamas! Politics aside, I believe them to be the Epitome of Style and grace while at the same time being on a level of their fellow man.
Oh I’d love to sit in with that dinner. He exemplifies leadership and courage. Outstanding, but bittersweet choice.
Being from Kyiv, this horrible war must weigh so heavily on your heart. My husband and I watch the news daily, gutted with emotion for what those poor people of Ukraine are going through. You must still have family there. Are they safe?

The war in Ukraine is constantly in my mind. I have a lot of friends who are there, both fighting and supporting people who are in need.
My brother and his family fled Ukraine a few days after the war began. They are still in Italy, waiting for all their paperwork to be processed. Can’t wait for them to be here in the US!

Having just watched the Platinum Jubilee videos, Queen Elizabeth II would have a lot of insightful perspectives.

I would invite Vlodymyr Zelensky. I was born and grew up in Kyiv and I greatly admire him for his leadership and courage to defend his country.
