Digestive issues
I started having digestive issues last fall. By December I was told I had bilary dyskenisa and had my gallbladder removed.
That did not fix my problems.
I sometimes have traditional heartburn but mostly I have sour stomach and stomach pain mostly middle immediately below sternum and to the left. Increases after eating. I often feel like food did not make it into my stomach. Like it's stuck down there.
I will get this weird fast quiver like spasm deep inside. I can feel it with my hand I push down and so can my husband and it goes on for hours at a time. Anyone have that before? It's very strange but something inside is not working properly. I also have postprandial hypotension and intermittent difficulty swallowing.
My blood tests show slightly elevated liver enzymes but doc said they are not dangerously high. My stool is frequently bright yellow and liquid:(
Also I cannot seem to get a straight answer but do those of you with experience with ulcers did it cause excessive burping?

BEST of luck - hopefully you can find a doctor who can help you.
Me too.!! Again thank you 😊
I deep wet belch over 1000 x a day and night , non stop churning gut , extremely fatigued. Done over 6 Gastro Drs . I have 6 diagnoses done everything , tried everything holistic, RX , have gastro cardiac symptoms w/ it ( pvcs ). No Drs have helped not even Mayo Clinic.
My brother had same symptoms as you for 1.5 years . Could only eat soup , smoothies .. went to all kinds of Dr’s .
Finally saw one that put him on small dose of prednisone daily .
That was what finally helped him .
He even had his esophagus dilated 2 x ( didn’t help ) before he was put on it. May want to try that .
Oh lord life is hard !
@hikeema123
You live close to Manhattan where they have some of the top hospitals with outstanding GI departments. Such as
NYU Langone
Mount Sinai
Columbia Presbyterian
Take a look at them and contact them. The testing you have had so far is incomplete.
Wishing you well!
Good morning I called them unfortunately the doctors don't take my insurance.
@hikeema123
I’m sorry to hear that.
NJ also have some excellent university medical centers- especially Hackensack University Hospital. Others in Princeton, Newark, New Brunswick.
I have already been to two gastroenterologist and ENT doctors in Newark at the University Hospital. No clue of what is going on. Called it a NON-SPECIFIC MOTILITY DISORDER. I want relief to hold food down and regain my weight. It's not the trouble of swallowing it's the feeling of my food sitting on my stomach and feels like something in my throat so I have to manually regurgitate my food so the feeling of something being stuck to be removed and that doesn't help often. I want to eat again and regain my weight. Can anyone please help me???!
I have the same issues from 2018. I vomit part of everything I eat or drink. I can’t even hold down water without an issue. I have been diagnosed with aperastalsis and achalasia. Ive had a Heller Myotomy but it didn’t do anything. My burping and hiccuping is out of control and I believe thats what causes the food to come up. Ive been to “many” different types of doctors including “many” gastroenterologists. I’m from NJ and even flown out to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. Ive been to Johns Hopkins in Maryland and a consultation with a Doc in Florida. Nerve doctors. You name it Ive seen the doctor. Now the new thing Im being told is its a mental disorder and Im excessively swallowing air. Im. It buying it but I’m currently seeing a therapist to rule it out or fix it.
Update I went to see another gastrointolgist on Monday keep saying a NON-SPECIFIC MOTILITY DISORDER ok but how do we fix the issue for me to eat again. The prescribed me an antidepressants and changed my bowels medications.
What is Gerd the Prilosec isn't working am I taking it right will the antidepressants will help resolve the feeling of something stuck in my throat. When will I be able to eat again. What foods am I able to find something to eat that will slide down without regurgitating. When I throw up I feel on the side of my throat like a lump or something but three endoscope test says nothing there. Anyone have these symptoms please reach out and help me with my issues please
DID YOU have a barium swallow? they can see how the liquid goes down/if it is regurgitated etc etc. it is possible you might have esophageal achalasia (they cannot see this on an upper scope - since it is a motility issue. There are some procedures they can do to help. the regular GI docs know little about motility issues - you need to find someone that specializes in it in your area. The place to start though is to get your doctor to order a barium swallow.
this is from the net:
Currently, no treatments resolve achalasia entirely, but there are several approaches to relieve symptoms, such as dilation, surgery, botulinum toxin injections and medications. The goal of treatment is to normalize contractions in the esophagus and help the sphincter relax and allow food to pass into the stomach.
