Digestion complications after COVID

Posted by billie6977 @billie6977, Dec 28, 2022

I had covid in May it was pretty bad, but was able to isolate. I have had symptoms come back and some days I have been fine, but for the past month I have experiences with Severe Constipation, being Shaky, dizziness, migraine headaches, loss of appetite and vomiting, but no fevers. I have been so distorted I can't go in to work or drive. I can't even clean my home without feeling as though I am going to faint. I have tried using laxatives, but they don't work. I am now dealing with fecal impactions

Oh this just goes out to everybody a gastroparesis diet is not the way to live I have two weeks before I see my specialist again but I have to remain on this diet of mush and yuck until I see him but they also have given me the lenzess 145 mg twice a day. Without it my stomach will not digest food I've literally had food sitting in my stomach for over 10 hours get sick and it come up as if it was never even touched like I had just ate or something I don't mean to be so vulgar but it's that's what it was. I'm going to urge anybody if you are going a week without going to the bathroom you need to see a doctor point blank I went too long without using the bathroom and now I have major major problems I cannot stress to you enough and how important it is to not just take a bunch of laxatives to try to go to the bathroom there may be an underlying problem that you're not catching and it could take over and cause real havoc in your digestive system.

I've been taking 4 stool softner pills (docusate sodium) every night which I found helps me move my bowls the next day (I never had a problem before long covid).

I'm not a doctor or anything and I'll never claim to be but with my own experience with gastro issues I could do it will say it's not healthy to take that many stool softeners in the night. What I've learned from past experience is break it up take two in the morning and two in the night before you go to bed once you start having too much liquid in your stool back it up you know take like one in the morning two at night or one in the morning one at night you know just got to break it down I know they say that virus is supposedly respiratory that's not the case anymore this virus is doing a lot of damage to a lot of people and it's the nervous system I am having some more tests done next week for the bag Vagus nerve which actually controls like digestion and some other unconscious movements in your body like your eyes and all of that and they want to check and see if there's any lesions or anything on the actual nerve. But that's beside everything I just I wanted you to know that you're really not alone and you're not crazy I really can understand and sympathize with how you would feel that way but trust me or not and I will even offer to you if you ever want to speak or if you just need somebody to talk to you can always hit me up on the personal message just tap on the @billie6977 and just leave me a message.

I normally eat small meals but now am forcing myself to eat because 10 pounds of water weight for someone weighing 112 pounds causes me to have trouble breathing with the bloating.

What is Triosmart?

Breath test for SIBO. It tests all 3 gases and costs around $300.

I was given Reglan for Gastroparesis. 1-2 30 min before a meal. Really works.
All the best to you.

Trio smart is a breath test they use to test for h pylori. I have had a couple. They put 3 gases in a bag while they give you a liquid to drink after you suck in the gas and then you blow back into the bag. The GI doc. told me if is comes up neg. they can almost rule out stomach or pancreas cancer. Plus, I know how suffocating 10lbs of water weight on me feels like so.i could only Imagine how it does your little self. Take care and hope you have great rest results.

I too have had difficulty digesting and have recently started taking digestive enzymes. Klaire is a brand suggested by someone on this site and, after a few days, my digestion improved. I take one every time I eat, eat small meals and I still avoid certain foods but am able to eat and digest most foods and have very comfortable bowel movements.

I have no idea why your GI doc would say there is any correlation between SIBO and cancer. Half the population has SIBO and are just asymptomatic per se. It’s extremely common just like, gastritis, IBS, IBD, etc. Never heard of a doc saying that.

From my understanding that the H pylori is a indicator of stomach cancer I just had an explorer test done almost 2 weeks ago mine was negative and I did the research behind it it basically was saying that it's one of those things that they do before rolling out cancer

The other possible reason that he said it is because during body functions test they found like a mucous membrane type it's like the lining from either the stomach or the intestines so I'm going to have test come back on it but H pylori or the test that you're taking that's what it's for
