Did your journey start by reading the books by this lifelong advocate?

I was moved to tears for the life of this surgeon, researcher, advocate, author of The Breast Book and creator of army of women.
Dr. Susan Love has passed away. I will always be grateful to the books that gave me more information than I needed to get through this journey.

I read her book first, and she also referred me to her partner when I had a suspicious lesion that was not, in the end, cancer, but I met understanding because I was breastfeeding at the time and other docs were telling me to wean my child early. Susan Love was an advocate and educator for all of us and I am so sad to read about her death.

I started reading her books many years ago. While I have not had breast cancer her information about menopause was very helpful to me. I’m sad to read that she has died. She has left an enormous legacy that I know will be of benefit for generations to come.

I found her books so helpful when I was going through mastectomy, chemotherapy, and radiation. Thanks for posting this.
