Did SBRT affect your internal body thermostat?

Has anyone experienced a change in their body temperature since doing SBRT? It has been almost a year since I completed 28 SBRT’s & it seems to have screwed up my body’s internal thermostat - I always seem to be cold. This started during radiation & continues up till now. I did not do any hormone therapy only radiation. I also still struggle with some fatigue - just can’t seem to get my stamina back. I would have thought fatigue would have resolved by now.

I have never heard of anybody having more than about seven or eight sessions of SBRT radiation. I suspect you had IMRT radiation not SBRT. Though you may have had both.

I had around 40 sessions of IMRT radiation. I never really had any side effects Other than incontinence starting six years later, which could also have been caused by a prostatectomy 3.5 years before the radiation.

Now for the short term issues, but this is not something that would last long-term.

Yes, prostate radiation (such as IMRT or SBRT) can cause a low-grade fever, chills, or a "flu-like" feeling that may last for several weeks. This is generally due to inflammation of the surrounding tissue rather than an infection, and it is a known, though not universal, side effect.

I am not sure how old you are now, or were when you started 1 year ago. Is it possible that the stress has slowed you down a bit and are you as active?
I haven't done RO, or RARP yet but the amount of time I think we all put into it deviates us from our norms.
However that being said I would not discourage you from seeking official medical resolve.

Best to you!

ADT can mess up your internal thermostat, for sure, if you're (still?) on that. So can nerve damage (like the compression in my middle spine).

Typing error - I had 28 EBRT not the concentrated SBRT.
