Diagnosed with diabetes after acute pancreatic attack; now chronic

Posted by ankie @ankie, Jan 10, 2017

After an acute pancreatitis 3 years ago, I now have chronic pancreatitis which causes a lot of pain. I'm on Jentadueto 2x/day and my diabetes is onder controle. However, I would love to hear from others with this combo problem. Thanks

I only have turkey burgers as fat is the most difficult nutrient for your body to digest, hence the pancreas works harder and gets inflamed worse. Even with turkey, I make sure it is 9% fat or less. I try to keep my fat intake below 25 gm/day. Google, google, google - unfortunately, our doctors are not allowed enough time per appt. to educate us.
