Diagnosed with Craniopharyngioma

Posted by tinks @tinks, Mar 7 6:02pm

Was diagnosed due to a fall I had, they called it an incidental find. At that time the tumor was 1.0cmX1.2cm. They sent a request in to get an MRI done and it shows the tumor has grown, now its 1.1cmX1.8cm (0.43 " X 0.70")and its in the shape of a dumbbell. I'm not sure if this is considered to be growing quickly or is it kind of normal? The time between the Xray and the MRI is about 8 weeks. Any comments and/or advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Tinks, what did the MRI indicate? Will you need further treatment? How are you doing?

I went for an eye exam at the hospital yesterday and am waiting to hear back from the Neurosurgeon's office. I will need treatment however I'm not sure what that will entail. I know as per my family physician, the report from the MRI shows the tumor is shaped like a dumbbell and has grown..
