DEXA scan reading

Is it possible for someone to recommend a good resource on how to understand DEXA scan results? Something easy to understand?
I always had normal results...& frankly didn't get involved in the "numbers".
I have no idea what is good or bad. And since I have now developed osteopenia (from my AI) and osteoporosis is a common side effect of the aromatase inhibitors, I need guidance on what the numbers all mean. It seems difficult to understand, am I right?

Ideally, your best resource to interpret your results would be the medical provider who ordered the DEXA scan. I'd start there.

I am quite surprised that this was not discussed in your post dexa scan meeting.

I agree that would have been best case scenario but in the spirit of being advocates for our health care here is a tool that I have used

Purely for "fun" and in no way is meant to take the place of a thorough post-scan discussion with your doc, but you could ask Google (which on my phone auto-defaults to Gemini) to explain your results and attach a screenshot of your DEXA report. (Note: I do keep the setting for the "memory of my discussions" turned off). Be sure to pay attention to any sited sources for the info generated. This can serve as a good start and help to generate questions for your doc.
