Deffusely Dilated Colon with Tortuous Colon
After an appendix rupture on a cruise ship, sepsis, surgery in the Azores and 5 more surgeries in the US; I now know I have a deffusely dilated colon. I live on a mostly liquid diet, and 1000mg of docusate a day. Living at 5000ft elevation may be exacerbating the situation. I had surgery last August as my intestines were attached to my mesh. This adhesiolysis took 1/2 hour and where it was found this issues that I have had a long time and appears to get more problematic. My GI doc and surgeon have been ghosting me. I just want to know if moving to a lower altitude would be beneficial to my colon. No one will give me this answer. I have sent my surgical records to a specialist at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Southern California. She is going through my records and soon I should get some answers.
To me this is an unbelievable situation that surgeons and insurance companies do not want to address. I am in pain and have nausea on a daily basis. If I had heart disease or cancer, they would be on me like a cheap suit. With GI issues like this, you are sent to every other medical department such as orthopedics, pain doctors, and muscle therapy. This is just to divert attention. I am 10 yrs out from my burst appendix so done that….been there. Now it is just persona non grata. Now I am at the end of my rope.
