Daily headaches

Is anyone else experience daily headaches, mainly from the top of the head down the back?

I have daily headaches that range from moderate to severe. Not supposed to take Naproxen or Ibprophen, and Tylenol does nothing for me. I just have to close the blinds and go to sleep. Mine come on suddenly and mostly behind my eyes through the back of my head. Haven't even talked about GCA with my doctor, she hasn't asked any questions about vision or headaches. I do have terrible jaw pain and I just blame the headaches on my jaw or maybe a bad tooth.

Go to the dentist and ask for a night guard. It helps me with the jaw pain and grinding your teeth while you sleep. I would also get ear pain from the grinding.

Hi Terri, I have the same headaches you do and have been diagnosed with GCA. If I were you I would get a GCA biopsy. If you didn't know you can go blind in 3 weeks! It's very sudden and serious. Good luck.

@scottschooley, Thank you so much for your reply. I have been on Prednisone for four months and my PC doc said it wouldn't show up since I've been on the Pred for so long. I talked to a Vein doctor who told me the same thing. Can't get into a Rheumatologist until next year. I am going in to see my Optometrist next week as my vision is giving me problems along with the headaches. My PCP has never even asked about symptoms of GCA. Not sure she knows what it is. I'm hoping my Optometrist refers me to an Opthalmologist.
