Cyst on Pancreas?
So recently i had a CT Abdomen Pelvis w/ Contrast and they found a cystic structure to arise on the Pancreas . Said it could represent a serous/mucinous neoplasm. Anyone knows what that means ??? Thank You. ( 57 year old male.)

Do you mind me asking,, Was yours found random like mine on a CT ?? Did you have any symptoms ??
Thank You, I hope all is well with you.
@faithann64 it sound like they are following the same protocol they did with me in 2012. First blood work, CT scan, MRI, then endoscopy with mine it was with ultrasound and attempted biopsy.
Then came the appointment with answers and recommended plan to proceed with. You are your own best advocate, do your research and have your list of questions when you have your appointment to get the results.
Your in my prayers, we are here to support when needed.

I'm glad to hear that you are having an upper endoscopy as well as an MRI. Did your doctor indicate if this would be an ultrasound upper endoscopy?
Had my gallbladder removed years ago . Thank You for the advice. ..
I'm not remembering if you still have a gall bladder? They will look at that too! They will figure it out for sure. Your endoscopy will help them. Keep us posted. Do you have a support person or persons? You likely won't need anyone but it is always good to have an advocate when you have surgery.
Thank You. I have constant stomach pain and back pain. Anything i eat is an issue. Problems with swallowing, bloating etc. I'm scheduled for upper endoscopy on April 9 2021. Hopefully they can get this figured out. No Fun.

1 ReactionTeresa is saying exactly what I would say. Gary has MRIs every 6 mo. It is a very good idea to watch cysts. Hope you have a clean one. If you have never had an MRI before, read about it on Mayo. It's not a big deal to do..the results are definitely worth it! I have stage 4...end stage...liver disease. I get them every 6 mo. too. I have a cyst on my liver they watch. Don't be too worried...you are amongst friends!
And in good hands....

3 ReactionsYes, MRI machines run all the time. I've had MRIs on the weekend as well. While I'm sure you want to get past this part of your diagnosis, how are you feeling these days?
