I have iatrogenic Cushings - meaning I don't have a pituitary tumor, but the symptoms of Cushings brought on my medication (steroids). I am steroid dependent and have exacerbations which increase the symptoms. When I go down on steroids (even 1 mg), I run the risk of going into Addison's and have had that many times. It is a fine line to walk. My pituitary and adrenals do not communicate. It is exhausting - physically and mentally, and just want some stabilization. A friend's daughter had Cushing's from a pit tumor. Once the tumor was removed, it took a year, but she returned to her normal body. Wishing you well as you try to navigate the Cushings. Feel better.
