I go in wed. for the camera thing. I was/am peeing blood and clots, no noticiple pain, well maybe a little.

You and I are basically in the same place except I already have my results. Once you find out type of cancer a treatment recommendation will be given. I start BCG in two weeks. I have read everything I can find. So far this can be as simple as having skin cancer removed and just monitoring it yearly to having it spread to other areas and needing chemo. No easy answer. I can tell you i told my kids and i am glad i did. As parents we want to protect them but they told me they deserve to know so we can go through it together. I learned something that day. Kids are tougher than we give them credit for. Good luck. Hopefully we can both look back at this as a distant memory.

So I had my t u r v t yesterday and or no I had it on Thursday and I think everything went okay so I had to wear a catheter until yesterday morning and then I took that out and I am now pee normal color and it only hurts a little bit in the penis when I pee because of all the tubes that were inside me. No I'm waiting for it video call sometime this week to get the results of the testing of the tumor. I feel pretty darn good and it sure is nice to pee normal again. So they took out the tumor and then sprayed some chemo on it. And so I don't know what the next step is. I guess I just got to wait to find out the results of a testing of the tumor. Any thoughts about what I where I am at right now?

I am shocked at the lack of info I have been giving so far, I do not know when I can go back to work after the surgery tomorrow. I am in a fog. Hopefully they are better tomorrow.

My husband had very small amounts of blood initially but no other symptoms with his muscle invasive aggressive bladder cancer. After initial surgery to remove part of bladder (because the tumor was in a little pocket like diverticulum off of the bladder) He had chemo but it returned and had it removed via turbt procedure, then a trial of BCG infusions after that but while on maintenance infusions, it returned again. He was tired of all the procedures and elected to have a total cystectomy and neobladder creation. a long 6 week recovery from that big surgery, but he is content with the results and has been cancer free for 3 years. He is restricted on how much weight he can lift, but that is due to incisional hernia repair. He also must catheterize 2-3 times a day to fully empty the neobladder. I have noted patients on Connect who will continue for years doing turbt procedures to control recurrences, but that is usually with a less aggressive form of bladder cancer. You will need more information to learn about your potential tumor. Please share with your family. They want to support you and help as they can through this journey.

Mr Tony, check out the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network (BCAN) website. They have a long list of very helpful links including answers to many of the questions you already have and some to some that you don't know you have yet. They also have videos.
This is a tough road you're on but it is surmountable and there are many, many people here and on BCAN that will help.

It's weird because sometimes I can pee normal, like the last five times I peed last night and this morning were normal and then I just went pee a half hour ago and it was all blood and large blood clots. Did you pee blood for a while before you went in? Or did you have other symptoms?

I only had a slight pinkish color until about 3 weeks prior to my scheduled appointment with the urologist. Then I did have a blood clot and lots of blood one evening. The next morning there was no color at all in my urine. It was as if it hadn't happened.

I originally went to my primary care doctor thinking I had a UTI but
I didn't. She said I had been showing microscopic blood for years so I should get it checked out. (She had never mentioned it prior.) I made an appointment in late May and the urologist was very concerned even as we spoke about it.
