Consultation with urologist about mri results
Talked with urologist about mri results, who presented me with the choice of biopsy or psa test every 3 months. Im going with the tests. I did ask about the pse or anything similar that might move me one way or the other, but Geisinger doesnt typically use these, Im still going to see if my va primary can get a pse approved.

Hi,
What is your current PSA benz57? Did the MRI show anything suspicious?

@benz57
My ExoDx was a urine test. I requested my urologist at Mayo PHX to order it and it was ordered. I requested my PCP to order the Lynx Dx because Mayo could not. It was ordered. Results were 46% and 50%.
@daveys
The PSE test is more accurate.
It may be time to get a biopsy anyway.
Check out this table for comparisons.
@jeffmarc You are correct, and I did get a biopsy earlier this year and completed 20 photon beam treatments two weeks ago. I wonder why my Mayo urologist did not suggest this test? Should I ask?
@daveys
I did not have the explanation that you had radiation after a biopsy. You didn’t mention what the Gleason score results were from the first biopsy. That left me thinking you had not had any treatment and the First biopsy was clear.
The EXODX is usually done before a first biopsy to figure out whether you need one. That further led to confusion. Similarly, a PSE test is to be done before the biopsy To decide whether you need one.
Once you’ve had treatment, then you don’t get another biopsy of your prostate. You may get a biopsy of an area near there if a PET scan shows there’s something to biopsy..
Once you have had treatment, you want to get a decipher test, Prolaris test or an ArteraAI test to find out your chance of reoccurrence.
