Constant tapping in right ear when covered

Hello, I have a constant tapping in my right ear that only appears when I’m covering it like when laying on my right side or when my left ear is hearing a lot more sound. It’s worse when it’s covered. It doesn’t particularly hurt but it is uncomfortable and causes problems for my sleep.
