Confused and concerned looking for help

Hello, I'm 31 male 5'11 165lbs. Back in the beginning of August I was driving and had a sudden jolt or like a warm feeling run down my left arm and body and I felt very scared and zoned out feeling. I could only focus on what was happening to me. it went away after I pulled over and got some water. Afterwards my shoulder was hurting. Few days later I went to the ER after being scared for several days. Ended up getting some muscle relaxers and pain meds. Had a negative reaction to the muscle relaxer causing extreme fatigue and dizziness to the point I couldn't even ride in a car. Then got diagnosed with a sinus infection after I was able to get fluid out of my ears. Since that point I've been dealing with random shoulder pain coldness in left arm. Pain has also been in my shoulder blade, just under my arm pit or in my sternum and running down my front lower neck down over my collar bone to my left shoulder. My neck is constantly popping and stiff. Pain always rotates to these different locations never all at once. The only constants I have is the neck popping and stiffness and my head is ALWAYS bothering me. Constant ear popping/fullness and a disassociated feeling. Have slowly gotten better over the past 7 months but still dealing with issues.

I've had:
EKG: Normal X2
CBC with Diff: normal X2
Troponin test: Negative x2
Yearly blood work: Normal
Brain MRI without contrast: Normal
Shoulder MRI: Normal
Neck MRI with contrast: Normal
EMG: Negative
X-ray head/neck/back/chest: Normal

For note: I have no idea what triggers symptoms. Pain level doesn't go over 5/10. My head is currently the worst part of this. Somedays are better than others. It's a dice roll every morning on what is going to be bothering me for the day.

Thank you in advance for any assistance.

That's got to be very scary and unpleasant. I hope you can find relief soon.

Have you considered acupuncture? I had nervous tension for years, and no amount of stretching, exercise, medication, or anything helped. I had a muscle knot the size of a golf ball under my left shoulder blade.

In desperation I tried acupuncture. It helped me enormously. The knot disappeared and the associated pain went away.

It may not work for everybody, but I'm glad I gave it a try.

Definitely go to a neurologist and have some tests. There are nerves that run behind your neck that can trigger pain in your face and down your extremities from them being worn and inflamed. I have electric shocks in the back of my head that spread to my face while driving. I am waiting for nerve blocks but I found that going organic in my diet, using turmeric, ginger in my protein shakes has help me feel better.
I would like to try acupuncture too. Good luck and I will pray for you.

Something you said. I had a few of the same symptoms. It turned out to be a serious sinus infection deep inside. I had to have surgery to get it corrected.
I just had tests for another reason and found the sinus infection is back. Hope this helps.

It seems you’ve been covered by western medicine and maybe it’s time you tried something out of the box. Try looking for a homeopathic provider who’s a seasoned diagnostician. Also consider your diet as a cause and effect since we are what we eat. Sorry I couldn’t offer you more insight.

Sorry to hear what you are going through. It sounds extremely terrible! I have Multiple Sclerosis and with this, I’m unfortunately so very aware of nerve pain. It sucks!!I I have learned to stay away from extremes-hot/cold, too much stress, over exertion . A quick movement of my head, for example is a trigger for a lightening bolt pain that runs straight down my spine or diagonally through my torso. I take a low dose of gabapentin and it helps. Have you seen a neurologist? If not, maybe something to think about. I also see physical/orthopedic therapists and they are the best and have the advice. I hope my rambling helped a little and I hope you find some answers and relief:)

Yes, get neuro advice. Keep up with PT and really change your diet. Anti inflammatory foods, use turmeric, ginger, green tea and cinnamon. I do smoothies with gelatin and collagen that help my joints stay healthy. Exercise helps not too crazy but moving and eating organic foods helps me. I have electric shocks in the back of my head that affect my eyes. So can relate with the drug you are on. I’m trying more homeopathic remedies and good diet. Hope and pray that this helps you!!!
