Concussion therapy for long Covid
I am wondering if anyone has tried concussion therapies for long Covid. I have read that brain injury from Covid is similar to concussion injury.
I have been sick for two years and my condition continues to worsen. None of the therapies (many) I have tried have made any difference for me, and I continue to lose hearing and sight. I also struggle with digestive issues. I’m desperate for a diagnosis and a treatment.
Thanks for any input on this topic.

You are in a tough place. I found it handy to write down what I can still do. I had a moderate TBI decades ago, and brain injuries are more complex than LC brain fog. That said, both involve a lot of fatigue, and there are similarities to the recovery steps. Use your body and brain, but not to the point that PEM will hit you, and take a lot of rest breaks. Things like crossword puzzles, reading, and exercise are important. The emotional healing is important as well because we can be stuck in being ill. Escape the stress. I already had digestive issues when covid hit me March of 2023 (celiac and colitis). I keep a food log to see if any foods trigger bloating, flares, insomnia, rashes, and such. I can 't eat gluten, NSAIDs, or legumes, but dairy is fine (diets can be strange). Probiotics and psyllium husk can help with digestion (I'm 70 so an old GI tract).
I am for sure stuck in being ill.
It s hard for me to do anything normally because of over sensitivity to everything.
I am light sensitive, sound sensitive, big open spaces make me dizzy, you name it. I feel most normal sitting in a dim room listening to calming music.
So, it’s very hard to have a life of any sort. I try to walk daily, eat a gluten free diet, and keep a regular sleep schedule. I wait for improvement that never comes.
I’m reading about concussion therapy helping my symptoms and wonder if I should seek that treatment.
I work with Integrative doctors who are really trying to help me, but so far their therapies have failed.
I also have an old gut that has been sluggish, but so much worse since Covid. My occasional constipation is now chronic.
Thank you for your input.
