Hi
I recently finished breast cancer treatments. This april and have a lot of fatigue. July 18th I fell in my apartment.Tripped over a box Broke my finger sprained my knee and have a concussion.
They don't seem to tell you anything about how to manage the symptoms. They just say manage the symptoms. I have been having brain fog often comes and goes and anxiety Comes out of nowhere. Also dealing with menopause symptoms since going off H r t last november. Can anyone tell me how to manage symptoms. I take tylenol and ativan when needed. Just want my life back

@sue417 You have been through so much! Your body has been beat up, and now it needs some tender care.
If you can, you may want to nurture yourself. Go out in nature and just listen to the sounds out there instead of the noise in your head.

I have recently started having tremors caused by stress. My doctor told me to do a full body muscle tightening and release. It helps to calm me down.

Please be gentle with yourself.

Best wishes

Hi
Thank you for your kind words. I listened to a podcast on dealing with chronic fatigue symptoms. I find that darn negative thinking the hardest to quiet. Learning to be OK with doing less for now. Trying to not overdo when I have a good day is hard, hope to pace myself more. I am weather permitting going to go down to the beach and sit in the trail and relax a couple times a week. We have had extremely hot humid weather here in ont canada. Getting into my endocrinologist hopefully soon for some help. They were on vacation and are back Monday. Also doing councilling but I really need meds for these hormone symptoms. Never have had moods change so much. I miss hrt.

How can the doctor be sure it is not caused by a movement disorder? That seems strange to me. As far as concussion symptoms, have you seen a concussion specialist. You may need some vestibular therapy.

@katcollins I do have Functional Tremors.

My brain is “broken”: dementia, double vision because my brain is not letting my right eye work correctly, Ataxia…

This is not how I wanted to grow old!

My young (30 years) son recently suffered a concussion which left him with seriously troubling symptoms. Most people aren't able to do this unless retired, but his doctors recommended NO ACTIVITY (no screen time, no serious thought, no work, no nothing) for at least several weeks. He followed doctors' orders as best he could, although terribly bored, anxious and nearly driving himself LOCO. Now 6 weeks have passed and he's nearly symptom free.
