Complications MOHS surgery while having ET and Von Willebrand's?
I am 71, active, and in relatively good health. I have ET and VW's, my platelet numbers are around 520 with treatment (Jakifi). Im scheduled to have surgery in April on a couple of areas on my face that will require MOHS procedure and perhaps skin grafting. I have done some research but there's not much available that compares my risk for clots, excessive bleeding/bruising etc to normal populations. Any guidance is appreciate. Thanks

@milkweed I am a multiple myeloma patient. I am on Bactrim 3x a week, plus baby aspirin everyday plus an antiviral everyday.
A few weeks ago I had MOHS procedure on my face, and MOHS last year on my face plus upper forearm. I stopped the baby aspirin for three days ahead of the procedure. Due to taking Bactrim, I did not need a pre-course of antibiotics per my oncologist. My situation I get more bruising than a sane person should get. I use arnica montana which is a homeopathic remedy. I use it to build up a blood level in my system, and have been told it does not meddle with my medications. After the procedure, while dermatologist advised using vitamin A&D ointment on incision site, I used Vitamin E cream, or again, an arnica cream.
Just my experience, and if you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask!
