Complete left side pain, from top to bottom.

hi everyone. looking for insight or someone with similar symptoms and experiences.
here are my symptoms: my whole left side starting from my left eye socket and left jaw, to my left leg pinky toe pain. i'm talking about all of it. left eye socket, left side jaw, left side shoulder including the whole shoulder socket and even towards the back of my shoulder, left bicep, left wrist, left side ribs, left butt lol, left side back of thighs, left calf, left ankle, now my whole heel hurts tho so not just left side, and left side of my edge of my left foot (not my whole left foot just the left edge) and finally my left pinky toe. now the most pain is mostly on my left calf, heel, pinky toe and left shoulder and socket. these symptoms used to be very mild, random and never all at once. since a few days now, I've had these symptoms and they are not going away. i even thought i was having a heart attack and went to the ER when the sharp pain in my chest got added (they've since gone and i normally get those anyway and apparently they're just inflammation related because heart doc didn't find anything in an ultrasound, but it's been 7 years since). they checked me for heart attack and blood clots. lots of exrays and
ultrasound and blood work. there was nothing there.

i'm premenopause, and have hypothyroidism and sjogren's. i'm wondering if it has to do with neuropathy. i do know that consulting a doc is the best thing to do etc etc. the ball is already rolling on that front. i'm just looking for opinions, ideas, personal experiences that are similar etc.. hopefully someone will be able to relate.

Ahh, left side. Yes, I experience this problem too. Not as severe as you but left foot, left knee, left shoulder, left nostril, left ear. It is baffling. I have dry eyes and mouth but no Sjogren’s diagnosis, yet! My doc says foot pain is from back issues based on MRI. I have been looking at lymph drainage and vagus nerve stimulation sites as well as weight loss and excercise in hopes of improving my situation.

Hello @jaaade, I would like to add my welcome along with @parrot53 and others. It's good that you have already started the ball rolling to get a diagnosis with your doctor or care team. I am hoping another member with similar experience with symptoms can share them with you. I did find some information that may be helpful.

"Can neuropathy affect one side of the body?
Proximal neuropathy is a rare and disabling type of nerve damage in your hip, buttock, or thigh. This type of nerve damage typically affects one side of your body and may rarely spread to the other side. Proximal neuropathy is more common in men than in women and more common in people older than age 50."

How soon is your doctors appointment? Can you let us know what you find out?

I have this. I mention it to doctors but after 20 years I don't chase a diagnosis anymore. My neuro jokes that I don't need any more codes on my chart! These things can be hard to pin down. I hope you will share anything that you learn!

My leg-side pain happed 2 years ago - fell after my TBI accident 12 years ago - when I hit on my rear-end - both sides - from parking our car in our garage. It was ok, but a few hours started. The pain was from my rear-ends down to my legs on the back. Now, today, there’s some pain on both side and added my neck down on the bottom of my right-side. Every kills my right-side from my TBI. My left-side isn’t not bad today.

My balance changed to falling down, times a day. Unbalanced is worse than pain of my legs. That falling-down my rear-ends is terrible daily. Unbalance is the worst thing. Being unbalanced I can’t work at my house. I can’t take one of my doggies to walk. I can’t pull things I needed. Pain is one thing, but unbalance is worst than pain.

already have seen the doc. some blood work came in last night and i have a high level of ESR.. 80 to be exact. says auto immune inflammation will sometimes do this. what worries me that it could also be indicative for lymphoma and apparently, us, sjogrens people, are susceptible to that. some more tests are pending.

So your imbalance is constant? I'm sorry to hear this. They can't fix it?

Hi. Sorry, I’ll say imbalance is constant is every time of every day. In a week or two, there’s a surgery on my right-leg close to my rear-end and according to my doctor showed a photo of a nerve that moved to part of the inside (sorry, I lose on my brain of words then 2 hrs later it’s back) putting small part leg to part of leg. My doctor while add little part to another. It’s been there 20 years ago inside that small part because I was running around a mile or two, 5 times a week. But pain turned me to running a bicycle instead cause I stopped and thankfully 20 years ago, that doctor did the same thing on my back. Today, that 20 years ago adds another part of surgery putting the same thing and adding another next to it. I hope myimbalance will end..

@greg1956 that sounds terrible. Good luck with your treatment.

@jaaade that is a high ESR. Sometimes blood tests can be helpful in getting us help. Hope that is true for you!
