Coimbra protocol

Posted by lh17 @lh17, 6 days ago

I was curious if anyone has heard of the Coimbra protocol for treament of RA. Dr. Coimbra, based in Brazil, intially prescribes high doses of Vitamin D and over time monitoring and regulating dose as needed. Claims that the drop off Vit D can actually be a reason for the onset of RA and other immune disorders. Thoughts?

Do you have a vitamin D deficiency or had your levels checked?

Yes, when I was diagnosed in March my levels were very low. Ive been taking 2000iu but I know I need more. Starting doubling it today and also trying to be consistent with my fresh tumeric juice and other Vit. I have not started any meds. Im very scared, to be honest. And I am aware this is progressive.
