Coffee and MGUS progression.
I am wondering if anyone knows how drinking decaf or regular coffee might affect MGUS and its progression. I am willing to cut out coffee if I need to
Thanks.

Check all the posts for MGUS. Maybe someone has talked about it. I am sure more will post soon.
There are some variables to drinking coffee but none that should affect MAGUS. Type of roasts. How much. Additives. Strength. I drink 3 cups med roast strong mornings only. My SMM has been stable for 8 months.
Here on some links on MGUS and risk factors. Coffee overall doesn't appear to be a risk, but low sugar diets may be recommended. My MGUS is 8 years so far; I drink black decaf coffee. https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10835229/ https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/28765341/
Thanks! Are you sugar free I’ve cut back but not sugar free. It sounds like many on this site are Sugar and it plant based. Are you? Thank you so much for sharing.
Low sugar for many years because we prefer it, so if a recipe calls for one cup of sugar, I instead add a TBSP of honey and some vanilla (a sweetener). No artificial sweeteners. Also eat less meat than the average US diet. It doesn't take long to get used to low sugar and salt. I can be hard to find low sugar(s) and salt in stores/restaurants, but we cook a lot.

If I have to cut out coffee I'm doomed.
Seriously, I haven't seen any recommendation to avoid coffee for MGUS. There are many indications that one should be somewhat sugar avoidant for overall health but specifically to avoid obesity and diabetes.
