Cochlear Implant Surgery

Posted by haday20 @haday20, Apr 15 10:05am

Hello everyone, I hope you are all having a good day. I am reaching out on this platform to seek assistance for my son who needs to undergo a cochlear implant surgery at the Mayo Clinic. We have been planning for this surgery since November last year, but we are facing financial constraints. While there was a foundation that initially promised to cover the expenses, they have unfortunately not followed through on their commitment. We are now in need of support to ensure that my son can proceed with the surgery and improve his quality of life. Any help or guidance in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read this message.

@haday20, how exciting that your son has been approved to receive Cochlear implant at Mayo Clinic. Please note that I removed the approval letter from Mayo Clinic that you had attached because it contained your son's patient number (MRN) and other identifying information. Because Connect is a public platform, such personal identifying information is removed for security.

Along with this excitement, I understand your desperation to find funding to replace the foundation support that you originally had in place. I'm so sorry that they pulled out of the agreement. Have you contacted Mayo Clinic Charitable Care and Financial Assistance department?
