Closing eyes when getting up from sitting
I have been lately running into furniture after sitting and watching TV or getting out of bed. I have discovered that I have my eyes closed when I stand and start to walk; had anyone heard of uncontrolled eye closing? What could cause this and how to prevent this as it seems to be an automatic issue.

I'm so sorry to hear of this problem with your eyes. How sad! I would see an eye doctor right away if you don't have one already. Also do some research on the Mayo Clinic website and see if you can get an idea of what might be happening. Are your eyes just closing involuntarily or are you falling asleep? If you have a blood pressure machine at home, it might be a good idea to take your blood pressure right after you notice this event. The more information you can give to a doctor regarding this situation, the better. Prayer helps too! God made your eyes. He can fix them. I'll remember you in my prayers. Let me know how things go.
