Clobetasol and genital warts
I've been on Clobestasol for 2 months. Two weeks ago I went back in for a checkup. Was told the LS was better, but we did a biopsy since I didn't feel any better. It came back that I had genital warts. What a shock! Any way, I've read that the steroid Clobestasol can cause the warts to appear as it suppresses the immune system. Has anyone else had this experience? Also, I don't itch, so I'm not sure I have LS. Pathology said "changes consistent w/ genital warts or LS, according to nurse who called me. A second OBGYN said I didn't have LS, although she could tell me what is causing my intense pain. Ths.

Does your obgyn recommend any treatment for the HPV genital warts? HPV (human papilloma virus) causes genital warts and can put you at a higher risk for some cancers so you want to stay on top of this, especially if you have unexplained pain in your privates.
Have you ever been checked for HSV 1 or 2? This could cause pain. You can have a blood test to check for this. If you have this virus, it stays in your system for life. Medications like valacyclovir can help manage outbreaks. Stress and hormone changes/menstrual cycles can reactivate a dormant HSV virus.
Have you tried topical lidocaine pain cream? It can help temporarily relieve nerve pain.
