As I mentioned, my insurance company has a pharmacist call me every six months, and go over all of my drugs.

A couple of years ago, they asked me what kind of calcium I was taking, I was taking the wrong kind apparently you’re supposed to take calcium citrate, And I was not.

Every calcium citrate pill I have seen is only 250 mg and you have to take two of them to equal 500 mg. Would somebody please send me a picture of a bottle that has calcium citrate with more than 250mg of calcium.

Now back to the information about how your body handles calcium. People’s bodies cannot absorb more than 500 mg of calcium at a time. More than 500 mg is just tossed. Don’t believe me, please take a look on the web, you will find that 500 mg limit quite easily.

Costco didn’t used to carry calcium citrate, but they do now and it has vitamin D3 and it has magnesium, which many prostate cancer patients need.

Thanks, Jeff! I have been taking Calcium Carbonate, but am at the end of a bottle so simple to switch. Walmart has 300mg Calcium Citrate ("600 mg, serving size two tablets") under label Spring Valley, green bottle with yellow top. All the best!
