@daveandoneita Were you ever off ADT? By the end of this week, I will be into my fifth month in Orgovyx. In April, my radiation (SBRT) oncologist said we'd see if I could get off ADT after six months or a year; last week I was told I can stop after my sixth month; then will observe how my PSA fluctuates up and down. My understanding is that my libido will return approximately three months after Orgovyx is flushed out of my system, that's why I asked if you were ever off ADT. I still experience occasional erections ((without trying) but little or no libido. I will report back about six months from now, if climax will be back post-radiation/post-Orgovyx.
I'm a year post ADT and can rarely reach orgasm during sex. I need to use a male vibrator on the maximum setting. You might want to look into such a device.
Everyone is different. I am going on 3yrs since ending treatment, which was radiation and ADT. Received a total of 3 shots before treatment, none since and I’m still dealing with side effects and developing others. Had my annual PCP checkup and got a bone density scan. I was always on the high end or off the scale for density, well not anymore. While I’m still in the good zone, my numbers did drop and my PCP is questioning why. I told him it was from the shots, no comment. No one wants to confirm that those shots are wreaking havoc with us, who are on or were on them. I’m also dealing with other effects as well. I also thought I’d recover quickly, however it seems I was wrong. The hardest part is not being taken seriously by others and outsiders. My testosterone is low and has been, now I have to consult another doctor to see if I can do anything about any of it.

It's worse than that. I was specifically told because I'm younger, had only had six months of ADT and was on Orgovyx that it was "extremely likely" I would recover "quickly." Turns out the doctor's definition of "quickly" is two years but even then he finally admitted it's 50/50, i.e. 50% of men who get ADT never recover to normal testosterone levels and 10% stay at castrate levels forever. NONE of this was explained beforehand.

Actually, they talk about how the shots affect bone health pretty much every time they have a big conference..
In one recent conference, a bone doctor spent quite a while discussing bone health after taking ADT. His recommendation was that every person on ADT take a bone strengthener.
I’ve been on ADT for eight years and I’ve been on bone strengtheners for about the same time.
I took Fosamax for six years and I’m now on my second year of Zometa. I also take 500 mg of calcium three times a day, Had to do that to get my calcium levels up just a little.
I was told to start taking calcium and vitamin D immediately when I started ADT.
If your doctor didn’t inform you of these bits of information, you need to find yourself a better doctor. You want a Genito urinary oncologist, They specialize in prostate cancer, unlike medical oncologist, which work with all kinds of cancers.

My wife just started Fortibone for osteoporosis - collagen peptides which act as the scaffolding for new bone growth.
I looked into it since Ca supplements, D3 with K2 and Mag Glycinate did zip.
Bone loss is a very complicated process and many factors come into play. More people than ever are taking supplements, yet cases of osteoporosis are rising dramatically.
Of course, we know ADT is responsible for practically all bone loss in PCa patients, but again the mechanism and interactions of various factors are still very controversial.

Jeff, did you ever see my reply re: Calcium? I get Spring Valley Calcium 600mg/D 25mcg 500 tablets at Walmart. If you see a problem in this formulation, please let me know!
I had radiation a few months ago and in my 7th month of Orgovyx. ED, low libido, and no climax since starting treatment. I'm 73, Gleason 7, N1M0. I have an Rx for Trimix injections and hope they will help, and am on daily 5mg Cialis/Tadalafil.

As I mentioned, my insurance company has a pharmacist call me every six months, and go over all of my drugs.
A couple of years ago, they asked me what kind of calcium I was taking, I was taking the wrong kind apparently you’re supposed to take calcium citrate, And I was not.
Every calcium citrate pill I have seen is only 250 mg and you have to take two of them to equal 500 mg. Would somebody please send me a picture of a bottle that has calcium citrate with more than 250mg of calcium.
Now back to the information about how your body handles calcium. People’s bodies cannot absorb more than 500 mg of calcium at a time. More than 500 mg is just tossed. Don’t believe me, please take a look on the web, you will find that 500 mg limit quite easily.
Costco didn’t used to carry calcium citrate, but they do now and it has vitamin D3 and it has magnesium, which many prostate cancer patients need.
I had salvaged radiation in 2014 and I was able to reach climax until I started Zytiga.
As usual, everybody’s different.
You just have to rub the right spot the right way, Even if you can’t get an erection.
